I don’t think there is a camp ground on Lizard, its a 5 star resort operated by P & O Resorts.

My Camping in Queensland book (1997) lists Lizard Island National Park with camping and all facilities. The campground is on a different part of the island from the resort. Unfortunately I don’t know the answer to the original poster’s question.
