Yep. 
Seriously, two great rides in Lake County are Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest (off 175 between the towns of Cobb and Hobergs) and the trails near the town of Angwin (about 20 minutes east of Calistoga). Both offer singletrack galore. Boggs is especially nice, with miles and miles of singletrack trails and free camping in the forest. And Santa Rosa (which is either in Mendocino or Sonoma county) offers Annadel State Park, a great place to test suspension in that it used to be a rock quarry, and with trails like Rough Go, Cobblestone, North Burma, and Quarry trails, you know its a rocky place to ride. 101 north to 12 east are rough directions, but there are a lot of shops in Santa Rosa, including Pedal Pushers (the store front name for Bike Pro, the well known mail order place). Again 707-555-1212 gets you the #. In fact, dropping in at Pedal Pushers is an experience in itself, since they have a huge inventory and lots of high-end parts and frames.
